Elizabeth Luevano

Immigration holds great significance in her life as a first-generation United States citizen. To her, immigration represents an opportunity for growth, change, and the pursuit of a better future. It embodies the courage to leave behind familiar surroundings, cultural roots, and loved ones, in order to embark on a journey filled with unknowns. Immigration is deeply entrenched in every aspect of her life.

Immigrants have shaped her identity, broadened her perspective, and instilled in her a sense of resilience. To show her gratitude for the sacrifices her family in embarking on their own immigration journey to provide future generations with opportunities and a better life, Elizabeth has dedicated her life to assist other immigrants to pursue their dreams and contribute to the immigrant community.

As an intern Elizabeth began her exposure into the legal field, learning about client confidentiality, and how to best interact with clients with compassion and professionalism.

After receiving her degree as Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Houston, in 2014 she started working as a Receptionist & Legal Assistant at an immigration law firm and one year later she was already working as Paralegal and Office Manager, drafting legal documents for filing, assisting in trial preparation, contacting clients, and monitoring pending applications.

From 2016 to 2019 she worked as an Immigration Specialist in a different law firm, where she prepared petitions for filing for all kinds of immigration processes, prepared documentation for trials, and assisted with appeals to the BIA.

Once she graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree, she started working as an Immigration Attorney in 2019, preparing petitions for filing with USCIS, DOL, NVC, and EOIR; communicating with court and preparing clients for hearings and interviews. She later had experience as a team leader, supervising a group of attorneys and assistants, and managing a caseload of over 500 active and pending immigration cases.

From January 2023 she started working independently and joined our team in Armstrong Legal as Of Counsel, allowing us to serve more customers and to offer convenient hours for consultations on Saturdays.
