Edith Rivera

Edith comes from a family of Mexican immigrants and was raised in Texas. Since her initial work experiences at Mosaic Family Services in 2014, Edith has been closely connected with the immigrant community in Dallas. Working with that nonprofit organization to provide services to refugees and immigrants in crisis motivated her to understand the challenges immigrant families face in finding support and stability in the United States.

Her interest and experience drive her continuous learning. Edith was certified as a Notary Public in 2014 and began her studies at Brookhaven College that same year.

Since 2017, Edith has been deeply involved in helping the immigrant population. She has collaborated with the federal government and other national agencies through the Lutheran Immigration Refugee Services program which supported the unification of unaccompanied minors and their sponsors.

In 2018, she began working as an Immigration Paralegal, assisting with many different types of immigration cases, but was especially focused on immigration relief aimed at victims of crime. She has been responsible for preparing and reviewing forms, communicating with clients, providing interpretation and emotional support during USCIS appointments, and even supervising and training new staff.

Through her previous experience working for victims of crime, she learned the importance and impact that having legal status carries in the lives of immigrants and their families.

In March 2024, Edith joined our team at Armstrong Legal as a paralegal, bringing her extensive experience and dedication to serve our clients. Edith understands and values one-to-one communication. Her excellent communication skills and exceptional sensitivity to culturally diverse and traumatized populations make her an invaluable addition to our team.
